Oaklee is home! These pictures are from our last day at the hospital. It's only taken 2 weeks! We ended up transfering her from the NICU at hospital she was born at to another hospital that we believed would take better care of her. The doctor and nurses in the NICU were misdiagnosing Oaklee with all sorts of interesting conditions. If we wouldn't have transfered her, she would still be in the NICU hooked up to all sorts of monitors. The hospital we transfered her to took great care of her and watched her to make sure that she truly didn't have all the conditions that the NICU said she had. Sure enough, she's a completely healthy baby. So all of our frustrations were for not! We are disappointed in her care at the NICU. We are mad at how Bob and I were treated there as well. But, all is well and we are home. We are taking care of her now, which is something we've been looking forward to doing for 2 weeks!
We just love our little bug to pieces. She is so so precious to us. We are looking forward to everything parenthood has to offer. Bring it on!
